Isle of Man Golfing Holidays redesign

by Decimus

Isle of Man Golfing Holidays website mockup showing the website on an iMac, iPad and iPhone

Owner Ged was having major problems with his golfing holidays website and approached Decimus Design to redesign it. The old site had been built with WordPress, but the theme was a very old version that couldn’t be updated, and the page builder and several plugins the site had been built with had broken leaving Ged with no way to add or change content on his pages.

The old website had more than 100 blog posts and 42 pages, some of which contained duplicate content.

To enable Ged to continue to update his website himself, we decided the new website would be built using WordPress. The existing blog posts were imported to a new WordPress installation and the content from the old pages condensed into 24 pages new ones and redirects added to forward the deleted URLs to relevant new pages.

Westguard Fire and Safety Website

by Decimus

Westguard fire and security website mock up as it appears on a iMac, iPad and iPhone

When owner Jane approached us to create her website, she was unclear what she wanted her website to look like, or even how to get her message across to her potential customers. All she knew was that her business needed a website.

After completing our questionnaire and drilling down on her business, we decided to create a seven-page website: a home page, a page for each of the services offered, an about page, a testimonials page, and a contact page with a contact form.

After in depth telephone conversation about her services, Janet was able to craft the content to ensure visitors to the Westguard website fully understand the products and services offered and give them confidence to pick up the phone and call.

A bespoke map was created to showcase the areas Westguard covers.

Jane’s review says it all about how happy she is with the finished product:

From start to finish, Paula made everything easy. I was very unsure on what I wanted at first, but Paula helped me every step of the way. The website looks amazing and better than I could have hoped. Paula has put in so much time and effort with this and it shows. I couldn’t be more happy with it and recommend Decimus design to anyone!

Refresh

Refresh coffee company website mockup showing PC, tablet and phone versions

After two years in business, owner Shane Martin decided it was time to have a website for his coffee business which supplies coffee machines and coffee to local businesses.

Shane, who is one of the faces behind Green Mann Spring, was recommended to us by Dave from Function Caterers and The Eatery.

Decimus designed and built a five-page website, which included a home page, a page designed to showcase some of the coffee machines Shane sells, an about page, a testimonials page and a contact page with a contact form. Photos were supplied by the client and copy written by the extremely talented Janet Lees.

Decimus is also responsible for keeping Refresh’s website updated.

Shine Bright Cleaning Services

Shine Bright Cleaning Services Website mock up showing PC, tablet and phone versions

A one-page website for a start-up cleaning company.

Jaime started her Shoreham-by-Sea cleaning business in 2018 and, although she has a Facebook presence, she believed having a website would give her more control over her message to her customers and enable them to find her more easily.

After discussions with Jaime, we decided to opt for a single page website, which details the services she offers, has an about section, a testimonials section, and a contact section.

Built using WordPress, the site will enable the addition of a booking system and a news section in the future, if required.

What The Fork

by Decimus

What The Fork IOM catering website

Chefs Gareth and Richard have operated the successful What The Fork cafe from Walpole Avenue in Douglas for a couple of years.  However, it was now time to expand and take their business on the road, literally!

Their business now comprises corporate catering, business lunches, private functions and a street food truck and trailer.

Decimus Design created an eight-page website to separate their catering options and showcase their food and menus.  Their pages comprise: home, four different types of catering offerings, sample menus, about, and contact.

In addition to all the usual pages and features, they requested a Sky-News-style news feed to keep their customers up to date with where their food truck would be appearing next.

All images, news feed details and content can be changed as and when required. Decimus Design provides a detailed document with each website outlining how to add photos, change text, make updates etc. should the client wish. Although we are happy to make changes on your behalf.

Glen Moar Millinery

Glen Moar Millinery website

Island-based hat maker, Susan McNally wanted a website to showcase her traditionally made hats.

Taking inspiration from Susan’s business cards, Decimus Design created Susan’s website using WordPress. The use of WordPress gives Susan the ability to add new photos to her hat gallery whenever she likes. In addition to the gallery, the website includes home, about and contact pages – all easily updatable by Susan.

In the future, Glen Moar Millinery can be expanded to sell hats from within the website, should Susan wish.
